I had handyman heroes do a few construction projects at my house and everything went really well! Huge thanks to Ismael for leading all of the projects and Alexis for helping him out.They investigated a leak we had coming from a lightwell off our bathroom and found the likely source or the issue, repaired it, then did a leak test with a hose and confirmed that we didn't get any water coming in the garage.They also fixed some rotten siding we had outside the house and did a great job and cleaned up well.The biggest job was repairing our old deck without making us replace the whole thing. It had some relatively concerning structural issues and Ismael was creative to figure out how to repair it to last as long as possible without a full rebuild.The whole process was smooth from the initial visit/ quote to completing the job. Ismael was a great communicator and kept me up to date on the progress and what the team was doing. The cleanup was great too, it is like no one was even there except now we have a fixed leak, new siding, and a rock solid deck.Thanks a ton!

We've used a few handymen over the years, but Dan is the first one who made me feel like our project was actually his priority. He came out to fix our outdoor stairs and treated it like it mattered, no rushing, no cutting corners. We are very happy with the work done, and have already scheduled another service for another small job.I also had another appointment on 9/1 (with no evaluation sent me for that) with Larry to evaluate for a future sliding door repair, but during his visit, he was very evasive about what type what type of special wrench was needed (he never told me, even though I asked), and didnt show me the entire billing contract for the job scheduled for Oct 5. He only showed me the final cost when i had to sign the contract. After he left, I realized I felt like he had treated me as an old, dumb lady and I had a sense that I had likeky been ripped off and possibly oovercharged. So my high ratings only applies to Jason, not Larry. I would rank him a 0-1.

These guys are just the best. We use them for a little bit of everything. They’re professional, quick, and tidy. Evelio just recaulked and secured a shower pan for us and it looks good as new. I didn’t feel comfortable doing it myself given where it was at and the downside risk of continuous water damage. It was a very small job that didn’t take close to their 3 hour minimum, so he did another small project for us. Even though we left some ‘time on the clock’, it’s definitely worth the peace of mind. We’ll continue using handyman heroes for our general home repair and contracting needs.

Jason Chamberlain came out to look at my plumbing issues. I had slow drains in the bathroom sink and tub, plus a rattling disposal in the kitchen.Jason took the time to explain everything to me and gave me several estimates, depending on what I wanted done. He recommended leaving the disposal for now and showed me the reset button and said it was fine to run until or unless it actually stops grinding.He snaked the slow drain in the tub and it drains well now.He arrived right on time, was more respectful of my carpets than I am, and provided clear and courteous service. He also took care of an over tightened bolt on a cat tree for me, which the cats and I greatly appreciated!Overall, I’m pleased with the service Jason provided today.

He is punctual, conscientious, professional, and unobtrusive. Because the project affected our front entrance, he worked efficiently to minimize the disruption—even after uncovering significant dry rot and additional damage shortly after beginning the work.Ismael designed and constructed a subtly pitched porch platform that directs rainwater away from the house. Previously, water flowed back toward the house and collected along the foundation, contributing to several problems. He also preserved some of the original molding around the porch base and, with the leftover paint, even repainted the stairs leading to the porch.Handyman Heroes is always our first call for projects like this, and we continue to appreciate the outstanding work Ismael and his fellow Heroes provide!

Jake arrived to do an initial consult to determine what parts potentially needed to be ordered to repair my faucet. He set expectations well and said he couldn’t be 100% certain, but he would start with the least invasive solution, order the part, and we could schedule the actual repair when the part arrived. He also let me know what I needed to do to prep for the future repair, which was helpful.I was contacted to schedule repair when the part arrived a few weeks later. Jake arrived promptly at the scheduled window, shut off my water supply for me, replaced the part, and set expectations that I could possibly see the issue again because without going more invasive, it’s not entirely possible to determine the root cause, which made sense for a plumbing issue. He was clean, finished in less than an hour, and also sent pictures of the WIP while he was repairing.I appreciated the promptness, professionalism, and transparency.

We hired Handyman Heroes to install a Murphy bed, and Jake did a fantastic job. It’s a heavy, awkward piece of furniture, and he and his teammate carried the frame through our back area and got it built and properly anchored to the wall without any major issues. Jake was strong, skilled, and clearly experienced with all kinds of job. There were a couple blemishes with the walls and outdoor stair but they’re proactively finding ways to patch things up. I recently hired Handyman Heroes (HH) for the first time to install spring balances on some single-hung windows with inside-mounted plantation shutters. I had expected that the shutter frames would need to be removed and re-installed because the shutter frame of each window prevented removal of the sash. To my surprise, Larry of HH was very familiar with this problem and magically figured out a way to replace the spring balances without removing the shutter frames. I was so happy! I can't say enough good things about HH. During my initial inquiry, HH was able to identity Larry''s expertise and to set up an appointment. HH then sent me an email to confirm the appointment. One hour before Larry's arrival, I received a text from HH indicating that Larry would arrive at the scheduled time. And he did! Larry finished the job within one hour, and I was able to pay HH by check or by credit card immediately. The next day I received an email from HH that included an invoice describing the work completed and my payment. Evidently, all of these steps are "standard procedure" for jobs completed by HH. I've lived in Marin County for almost 3 years, and this is the first home-repair company that has provided end-to-end, competent and professional service. Thank you HH!!Three weeks after my first experience with HH, I hired them to replace the spring balances in 6 more windows. This time Larry also trained another employee, Maynor, to do this job because it requires specialized knowledge and experience. Larry and Maynor did excellent work. I can't say enough about HH's great service, and I will surely hire HH for future home repairs.
