I recently hired Handyman Heroes (HH) for the first time to install spring balances on some single-hung windows with inside-mounted plantation shutters. I had expected that the shutter frames would need to be removed and re-installed because the shutter frame of each window prevented removal of the sash. To my surprise, Larry of HH was very familiar with this problem and magically figured out a way to replace the spring balances without removing the shutter frames. I was so happy! I can't say enough good things about HH. During my initial inquiry, HH was able to identity Larry''s expertise and to set up an appointment. HH then sent me an email to confirm the appointment. One hour before Larry's arrival, I received a text from HH indicating that Larry would arrive at the scheduled time. And he did! Larry finished the job within one hour, and I was able to pay HH by check or by credit card immediately. The next day I received an email from HH that included an invoice describing the work completed and my payment. Evidently, all of these steps are "standard procedure" for jobs completed by HH. I've lived in Marin County for almost 3 years, and this is the first home-repair company that has provided end-to-end, competent and professional service. Thank you HH!!

Dan Buell from Handyman Heroes helped fix an issue with my shades. The mounting bracket had fallen from the ceiling. He effeciently drilled new holes into concrete and remounted the parts, as well as assisted with putting the shades back up.

Both times have been very easy to book, get someone out within the time period needed and all of the staff are very friendly.In particular, this time Alexis arrived early (though messaged to make sure that was OK!), worked seamlessly through some less than clear instructions, was very nice, and finished in less time than I expected. Jimena is also so helpful on the scheduling side of things. She called when there were a few cancellations and therefore more flexibility on when someone could arrive to do the work. Project 2: Feb 2026 Another great Handyman Heroes project. We added electrical plugs in the garage and two plugs in the living room floor for more convenient electrical cord distribution.Also, added a ceiling light over the dining room table, so now we can see what we are eating.Omar and Andres were both great, very personable. They did a great job communicating and cleaning up as they went (two day job). Highly recommended.Project 1: Dec 2025 Our backyard fence was leaning at a 30 degree angle, so it was time for a new one. After reaching out to a couple random handymen and never hearing back, I contacted Handyman Heroes. They sent me an estimate within a couple days and had the whole job done it a week. Two phenomenal employees from Handyman Heroes provided work on our home in Oakland; Andres and Omar. Andres, Omar (and the entire Handyman Heroes team) were phenomenal.Andres provided the highest quality work with unsticking our windows and leveling our doors. Not only was the quality of work top notch, Andres was incredibly personable, took the time to educate me on his process and decision making, and gave me advice for future management of our fixtures. He was punctual and truly provided a white glove experience.Omar was was equally incredible. Omar was onsite for 3 days handling our knob and tube electrical in the attic and grounding the outlets on our upper level. Similar to Andres, Omar provided a true white glove experience and was very educational when discussing his work and thought process. He took the time and care to ensure everything safe and secure for the long haul; no shortcuts were taken. Additionally, I was unable to be at the house beyond the initial kick off and final day, and Omar ensured to securely lock up the home each night which gave us piece of mind. He also gave us excellent advice for the future of our home and it's electrical well-being.I will absolutely be returning to Handyman Heroes for any future work we need, and want to say thank you to Andres and Omar for their time and hard work.
