Dan arrived as scheduled, assessed the work to be done, AND had time to complete the project the same day. Dan listened to what I wanted done, my reasoning for the work, and the desired outcome. I am totally pleased—💯 percent—from Kathy’s call to arrange the service appointment to Dan’s arrival. Without any hesitation, I recommend Handyman Heroes for your next project!

We had such a great experience with Jake and Ray on our whole home Plumbing inspection. They both were extremely knowledgeable, and we felt like we were in fantastic hands as they checked all of our plumbing. Jake and Ray provided excellent guidance and things to watch out for, while also sharing some nice-to-have features that we will absolutely add in the near future! They were also super kind and highly communicative; we're happy Handyman Hereos clients!

I'm so happy with Handyman Heroes! Dan handled our garage dry rot repair perfectly. His craftsmanship was extra appreciated on our old Victorian, and I'm so grateful for his attention to detail. He was also very good about answering our questions, helping us understand everything, giving us a chance to learn some new things, and checking out other areas for advice. We hope to see more of Dan, highly recommended!
Allison

Michael Dickman
Jake and Jason from Handyman Heroes plumbing came out to help with a leak test for some construction work other Handyman Heroes were doing at our house and also investigated a weird tapping noise we had while water was running. They were able to figure out that it was an issue with the water meter and suggested having SFPUC come replace the meter. That totally fixed the tapping issue and we’re very thankful that we don’t have to deal with that anymore!
Michael Norste
Dan was really helpful and talked me through all the options to fix my shower. Jorge did the work and executed great.

gregory falconer
I had handyman heroes do a few construction projects at my house and everything went really well! Huge thanks to Ismael for leading all of the projects and Alexis for helping him out. They investigated a leak we had coming from a lightwell off our bathroom and found the likely source or the issue, repaired it, then did a leak test with a hose and confirmed that we didn't get any water coming in the garage. They also fixed some rotten siding we had outside the house and did a great job and cleaned up well. The biggest job was repairing our old deck without making us replace the whole thing. It had some relatively concerning structural issues and Ismael was creative to figure out how to repair it to last as long as possible without a full rebuild. The whole process was smooth from the initial visit/ quote to completing the job. Ismael was a great communicator and kept me up to date on the progress and what the team was doing. The cleanup was great too, it is like no one was even there except now we have a fixed leak, new siding, and a rock solid deck. Thanks a ton!
Michael Norste
Great service and good job

Naoya Taylor
We've used a few handymen over the years, but Dan is the first one who made me feel like our project was actually his priority. He came out to fix our outdoor stairs and treated it like it mattered, no rushing, no cutting corners. What I appreciated most was that he explained the "why" behind his repairs, not just the "what," so we actually understood the work being done to our own home.He clearly knows construction inside and out, but he never talked down to us or made us feel like we were asking dumb questions. By the end of the job, it felt less like a transaction and more like working with someone who genuinely cared about getting it right. Solid work, fair price, and a company I'd call again without hesitation.
Valérie Lechêne
Jason was great! He came 8/25, was efficient, professional, and friendly, and importantly, knowledgeable. The office assistant telephone contact was also clear in her communication and we appreciated the time she took ro deal with our service request. We are very happy with the work done, and have already scheduled another service for another small job.I also had another appointment on 9/1 (with no evaluation sent me for that) with Larry to evaluate for a future sliding door repair, but during his visit, he was very evasive about what type what type of special wrench was needed (he never told me, even though I asked), and didnt show me the entire billing contract for the job scheduled for Oct 5. He only showed me the final cost when i had to sign the contract. After he left, I realized I felt like he had treated me as an old, dumb lady and I had a sense that I had likeky been ripped off and possibly oovercharged. So my high ratings only applies to Jason, not Larry. I would rank him a 0-1.
LD
These guys are just the best. We use them for a little bit of everything. They’re professional, quick, and tidy. Evelio just recaulked and secured a shower pan for us and it looks good as new. I didn’t feel comfortable doing it myself given where it was at and the downside risk of continuous water damage. It was a very small job that didn’t take close to their 3 hour minimum, so he did another small project for us. Even though we left some ‘time on the clock’, it’s definitely worth the peace of mind. We’ll continue using handyman heroes for our general home repair and contracting needs.
Dustin Sigward
Juan and Alex did a great job!

Joe Garner
Jason and Jake came by to solve some issues we couldn't fix ourselves with older SF plumbing. Quick response, fast and effective work, well priced, excellent overall service and left it all clean and tidy. Would recommend.
Mike Hambleton
Jason Chamberlain came out to look at my plumbing issues. I had slow drains in the bathroom sink and tub, plus a rattling disposal in the kitchen.Jason took the time to explain everything to me and gave me several estimates, depending on what I wanted done. He recommended leaving the disposal for now and showed me the reset button and said it was fine to run until or unless it actually stops grinding. He snaked the slow drain in the tub and it drains well now.He arrived right on time, was more respectful of my carpets than I am, and provided clear and courteous service. He also took care of an over tightened bolt on a cat tree for me, which the cats and I greatly appreciated!Overall, I’m pleased with the service Jason provided today.
Lynnette McCrary
I had a whole bunch of miscellaneous tasks and repairs that Jose was able to fix!
Ron Meyer-Toves
Larry Sweeney of Handyman Heroes (HH) is the best! First, HH has set up a very efficient system of communication. Second, Larry showed up on time and was very patient and understanding of the necessary repairs on my old home. He thoroughly discussed the details of repairs that I want and that this old house needs. We highly recommend HH.
Marushka Lee
I had a great experience with Handyman Heroes for a water intrusion repair. They come across as a very professional, well organized operation. Everything from the initial visit to the written estimate, written and phone communications, and actual work done was top notch. Samuel from their team did a super job on the water intrusion testing, remediation, and painting itself. He kept me updated on what he was seeing, the work required, and time to completion. This all gave me confidence in the quality of work and overall attention to detail. To top things off, Samuel thoroughly cleaned up the work area at the end of each day and upon completion of the project.I would definitely work with them again.

★★★★★Handyman Heroes recently repaired the front porch of our 100-plus-year-old home, and once again, they delivered excellent work. They conducted a thorough assessment, provided a fair estimate, and assigned us an exceptional “Hero,” Ismael Jaime.Ismael has completed projects for us before, and his work is always stellar. He is punctual, conscientious, professional, and unobtrusive. Because the project affected our front entrance, he worked efficiently to minimize the disruption—even after uncovering significant dry rot and additional damage shortly after beginning the work.Ismael designed and constructed a subtly pitched porch platform that directs rainwater away from the house. Previously, water flowed back toward the house and collected along the foundation, contributing to several problems. He also preserved some of the original molding around the porch base and, with the leftover paint, even repainted the stairs leading to the porch.Handyman Heroes is always our first call for projects like this, and we continue to appreciate the outstanding work Ismael and his fellow Heroes provide!
Amy & Stan Jones
Had a great experience with Dan Buell. Tried his best to accommodate all my ideas, and was honest when they weren't practical, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.
stephanie lee
Jake arrived to do an initial consult to determine what parts potentially needed to be ordered to repair my faucet. He set expectations well and said he couldn’t be 100% certain, but he would start with the least invasive solution, order the part, and we could schedule the actual repair when the part arrived. He also let me know what I needed to do to prep for the future repair, which was helpful.I was contacted to schedule repair when the part arrived a few weeks later. Jake arrived promptly at the scheduled window, shut off my water supply for me, replaced the part, and set expectations that I could possibly see the issue again because without going more invasive, it’s not entirely possible to determine the root cause, which made sense for a plumbing issue. He was clean, finished in less than an hour, and also sent pictures of the WIP while he was repairing.I appreciated the promptness, professionalism, and transparency.

Dan did a great job helping me install curtains and patch up holes! He was super helpful and kind. Would highly recommend for any handywork you need 👍

Our project was a difficult replacement of non-standard doors, requiring resizing of repurposed Victorian doors. Ismael did a great job with the door installations and door resizing! Besides his expertise he and the office were very accommodating and bid was as expected. Good value for service. We will definitely use them again.
Kathryn Harris
Ismael has done an exceptional job with my 2 bathroom countertop replacement project, including the new sinks + faucets install. Extremely professional, communicating clearly along the way. He is very detail oriented and alleviated all of my concerns from the get go. Will hire again.

Susan Ott
The best plumbing help! On time, efficient, and professional. Jake Hankins did a great job!
Laura Tudor
We hired Handyman Heroes to install a Murphy bed, and Jake did a fantastic job. It’s a heavy, awkward piece of furniture, and he and his teammate carried the frame through our back area and got it built and properly anchored to the wall without any major issues. Jake was strong, skilled, and clearly experienced with all kinds of job. There were a couple blemishes with the walls and outdoor stair but they’re proactively finding ways to patch things up. Overall a solid experience thanks to Jake’s skills and care with a tricky installation.
V.E.L.
The entire process was very smooth and efficient. Jake explained everything and laid out the costs of the repairs clearly. During his second visit, Jake delivered his solution to our problems especially Gerberit installation. We greatly appreciated his help and highly recommend his services.

I’ve used Handyman Heroes numerous times over the past 10 years. They have an excellent team of highly qualified handymen, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters. Every Hero has been super professional and knowledgeable. I very much appreciate Jake, one of the plumbers- he’s fixed several issues in my bathroom, including replacing shower faucet handles and repairing toilet. He explains the issues thoroughly, lays out my options clearly, helps me order parts, and is always patient and thoughtful.

Great communication from beginning to end --- easy to book, got updates on the ETA and any changes in cost due to adding items to the punchlist. Samuel, our handyman was very punctual, courteous, and took great care of our house. He was thorough but efficient and was able to tackle everything that we threw at him. We booked for one job but were so happy with Samuel's work that we kept adding things!

We’ve had a great experience with Handyman Heroes. We had two Heroes, Andres and Ismael, recently work on a couple projects and both were very knowledgeable, tidy, communicative and professional. We’ve used HH in the past and will continue to use them for work in the future. An easy to work with company with an outstanding crew.
Shauna W
Samuel and Jason were prompt, efficient, and friendly! We asked them to do an additional task while onsite and they were able to get that done too!

I recently hired Handyman Heroes (HH) for the first time to install spring balances on some single-hung windows with inside-mounted plantation shutters. I had expected that the shutter frames would need to be removed and re-installed because the shutter frame of each window prevented removal of the sash. To my surprise, Larry of HH was very familiar with this problem and magically figured out a way to replace the spring balances without removing the shutter frames. I was so happy! I can't say enough good things about HH. During my initial inquiry, HH was able to identity Larry''s expertise and to set up an appointment. HH then sent me an email to confirm the appointment. One hour before Larry's arrival, I received a text from HH indicating that Larry would arrive at the scheduled time. And he did! Larry finished the job within one hour, and I was able to pay HH by check or by credit card immediately. The next day I received an email from HH that included an invoice describing the work completed and my payment. Evidently, all of these steps are "standard procedure" for jobs completed by HH. I've lived in Marin County for almost 3 years, and this is the first home-repair company that has provided end-to-end, competent and professional service. Thank you HH!!Three weeks after my first experience with HH, I hired them to replace the spring balances in 6 more windows. This time Larry also trained another employee, Maynor, to do this job because it requires specialized knowledge and experience. Larry and Maynor did excellent work. I can't say enough about HH's great service, and I will surely hire HH for future home repairs.
rmd foss
Jason from HH was professional and thorough. I would recommend him to others

Imagine this winter, sitting in your , home by the fire, looking out the window at the falling snowflakes while sipping your hot cocoa with marshmallows. Life is good—until you hear the loud rush of water somewhere in your home. Your pipes just burst. Frozen Pipes! Burst Pipes! Unfortunately, this scenario is all too common…
You’re going about your typical morning routine when you hear it—a bubbling in your pipes. Did bubbling just come from the toilet? Is that a bad sign? Unfortunately, yes.
